Mitchell Caplan is the Global Chief Marketing Officer of IBT Media, a privately held publishing company based in New York.
Mitchell is currently responsible for driving marketing, direct sales, and licensing revenue for IBT Media’s seven sites, plus the print edition of Newsweek magazine. Other publications include the International Business Times, iDigitalTimes, Medical Daily, The Fashion Times, The Latin Times, and Fashion & Style. IBT Media sites engage with 100M+ million unique visitors monthly (ComScore March 2016).
Prior to IBT Media, Mitchell was the Chief Marketing Officer for Olson, which was acquired by ICF International (Nadaq:ICFI). Mitchell was part of the core team that successfully completed this transaction (Olson was partially owned by a Private Equity firm). In addition, in 2014, Olson achieved record Brand awareness and new business growth.
Earlier in his career Mitchell held Chief Marketing Officer roles at two of the top five advertising agencies in the world, McCann and Y&R, where he lead Brand and New Business efforts globally. In addition, he was Managing Director, Business Development at The Kaplan Thaler Group during a period of time in which KTG was the fastest growing agency in N. America (per AdAge).
